Examples of framed works in this gallery as done by MARX
The techniques used in framing Stephen Gibson's artwork follow the current archival methods to insure many years of longevity and perfect care of each piece. Each painting on paper is hinged to a backing board with the highest quality, acid free linen/ vegetable-adhesive tapes. The matting materials that border the top part of each piece consist of Bainbridge, 8-ply, acid-free, archival content. Each matboard is free of pencil markings and any other impurities. The matting and backing board is hinged together with acid free tapes. There are no other additional tapes or adhesives within this. The glazing consists of the highest quality Plexiglas. They are framed with quality pecan toned wood moldings.
For photos of examples of framing and matting please see images at the bottom of the page.
