I was born in an Armenian family in Georgia (republic of Georgia).
As far as I can remember myself, I always loved painting. Drawing with charcoal or pencil, painting with oil, watercolor or pastel. Still life and portraits, scenes and landscapes. I always wanted to become an artist.
One day, while I was working as a graphic designer at a marketing company (we worked a lot and spent many hours in the office, and grey walls were so boring), I decided to cheer up my colleagues, make the space, where we all were spending the most part of our days, more happy and inspiring, bring a piece of sun. I made 3 large abstract paintings, all bright and colorful. I fell in love with Abstract art, finding out how much I could express, all emotions and feelings, all thoughts, wishes and blessings. And that is how I became an Abstract artist.
Since then, I won several competitions and prizes, participated and organized exhibitions in Europe, together with artist and curator, and my best friend, David Ru we created an International Abstract Art Festival “Abstraction Without Borders” and gathered abstract artists from all over the world. Made performances with live painting, improvisation, together with wonderful composer Nikolay Popov and very talented musicians.
Now, I moved to the USA and continue my research and journey in the world of abstract expressionism with new inspiration and ideas. |
