Mariella Zevallos is a native Peruvian. She began drawing and painting in primary school, and has studied art in Peru, Venezuela, and in San Francisco, California, where she resides. While her passion lies in acrylic painting, she likes experimenting with photography and collage, which are also incorporated into her work. Mariella’s exposure to such an abundance of culture is reflected with the rich palette she uses in her surrealist representations of nature and people.
Mariella's work has been shown at the San Francisco Women Artist Gallery, The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts, The Consulate General of Peru in San Francisco, The City of San Pablo Civic Center Gallery, and The City Arts Gallery at City College of San Francisco among other venues.
