Dr. William (Bill) Ray Levacy was born in Berkeley, California in 1946.
Largely self taught, other than limited art classes in college, he found beauty everywhere.
Bill painted in between his busy life as a consultant in the aerospace industry, author of three books on Jyotish astrology, President of online ACVA college and celebrated Vedic astrologer with an international clientele.
Dr. Levacy's work was mainly acrylic, but he also used photoshop, black and white pencil drawings and chalk.
As a longtime meditator, his paintings were both meditative and abstract, sometimes showing his wry sense of humor.
His work was often colorfully vibrant, bold and bright.
Dr. Levacy never exhibited nor tried to sell any of his paintings, but was often asked if they were for sale.
Bill died February 23, 2018. He leaves behind his wife Peggy Levacy.
