The Blow Up Lab is a full-service, digital photo and graphics business located near downtown San Francisco but virtually available to anyone with Internet access. Owned and operated by Frank McGrath since 1977, the Lab was the first in the city to convert from traditional, chemical photo processing to 100% digital in January 2000.

In the early 1990's The Blow Up Lab was asked to consult with programmers developing new photo graphics software that became Photoshop 1.0. In the mid 90's The Blow Up Lab became a developer for Hewlett Packard's large-format ink-jet printers.

Always experimenting and following technological advancements, The Blow Up Lab prides itself on its' ability to offer clients custom, state-of-the-art digital production.
