Workshop: The Price Is Right: Pricing Strategies for Emerging Artists

What to bring:

Part One: Learn strategies for pricing your artwork for retail and wholesale scenarios. Utilizing the information presented in this seminar, you will be prepared to evaluate and profit from sales opportunities in the current art market.

Part Two: Discussion includes strategies for setting initial pricing, determining when to adjust prices, working with agents and advisors, understanding gallery pricing strategies and examining the print reproduction market.

In addition to his consulting business, McKinley Art Solutions, Matt is the Chief Curator at ARTworkSF (since 2002). He has been an invited speaker for the Small Business Association of San Francisco, consultant for the exhibit, "Reversing Vandalism", sponsored by The Friends of the San Francisco Public Library, a working member of the Bay Area Artist’s Guild and Curatorial Associate with BorderZone Arts, an international non-profit art and program organization. Since 1999, Matt has concepted, curated and designed over 400 hundred exhibits in various Bay Area locations, including fundraising exhibits for SOMARTS Gallery, The Artists’ Resource Center of San Francisco and Project Open Hand.
