Dear MesArt Artist,

We are excited to announce a new MesArt feature which allows artists to upload high resolution images, and visitors to view them in artwork's Enlarge page.

We now accept high-resolution artwork images of up to 1 MB size and up to 2000 pixel width. The images that are wider than 600 pixels are automatically watermarked with your name and copyright statement in large views (e.g. on the Enlarge page).

The images must be in GIF or JPEG format, minimum width 550px, recommended width 1000-2000px, file size up to 1 MB.

Note: Unfortunately, we can't automatically convert lower resolution images already in your account into a higher resolution version; you'll have to upload the images with bigger widths. For the images that are wider than a certain threshold, currently 600px (width), the system recognizes they need additional protection and watermarks them in order to protect authors' rights.

Here are detailed steps on how to prepare artwork images for the Web:

If you don't want changes in your account, you don't have to do anything. On the other hand, if you would like to take advantage of this new feature, re-upload your images with increased images sizes.
