The Writers-in-Residence Program offers writers stays of up to 2 weeks to pursue their work. The former Boyd family estate is listed on the National Historic Register, and was once host to F. Scott Fitzgerald and Thomas Wolfe.

http://t-ad.net/jac Located in downtown Jamestown, the Arts Center has an exhibition space, a performance stage, and 3 classroom spaces (one dedicated to ceramics and kiln operation). The Arts Center offers 2-week to 3-month residencies, which include housing, a stipend, studio space, and classroom supplies. Responsibilities include teaching in the Arts After School Program for students in grades 4-6.
Plains Art Museum

The Museum offers 4 5-week residencies in print-making each year, April-October, which include a private apartment and stipend. The Museum and artists' apartment are in the historic heart of downtown. Residents are required to have prior printmaking experience and be able to work independently.

Applicants for 6-week and 3-month fellowships must have basic hot glassworking skills, be at least 21 years of age, have basic English language skills, reside in the residency house during the fellowship term, be a U.S. citizen or have a valid entry Visa for the period of the fellowship, and be willing to work in view of visitors 12 hours weekly (not including assisting time). Fellowships include monthly stipend, free housing, 24-hour access to facilities, and individual studio spaces.

Associate Residency Program: Up to 7-month residency (Oct.-April) offered to emerging artists or artists in transition, including housing and studio space (nominal residency fee). Professional working artists in various disciplines, media, and styles stay in remote Hiawatha National Forest facilities (cabins, camps, cottages) for up to 2 weeks.

For Minnesota residents only. Month-long and 2-week residencies for emerging artists to work solo, collabo-ratively, or with a mentor (stipend to cover food and supplies). Month-long residencies for nature photographers (women only); successful proposals will connect with and build upon Nadine Blacklock's aesthetic sensibilities (no stipend currently available).
Cornucopia Art Center, Lanesboro Residency Program

Located in the historic downtown, the Center offers 4-6 residencies per year (1-4 weeks each) to emerging artists. Artists from all disciplines are encouraged to apply, though primary consideration will be given to sculptors, painters, poets, and writers; all applicants must reside in the United States. Housing, studio space, and stipends are provided.
Franconia Sculpture Park

The 16-acre sculpture park, located in the scenic St. Croix River Valley, is open to artist/sculptors for a work-exchange residency/internship, 6 weeks to 6 months. Student, graduate, and post-grad artists participate in the intern/mentor program; recent grads and students of museum studies/arts administration are encouraged to apply. Intern artists are encouraged to create their own work, and up to 6 interns are provided room and board.
Highpoint Center for Printmaking

Highpoint provides a collaborative, professional printshop for local and visiting artists to create small, fine art editions under the guidance and support of a master printer. Educational opportunities and ongoing print shows in the gallery are offered during the artist's visit.

The MCBA artists-in-residence are required to work within the genres of printmaking, papermaking, and/or bookbinding; this can include nontraditional methods and materials. Studio residencies vary in length, and include secure access to MCBA's facilities and dedicated, secure storage space for work and supplies. Limited exhibition space is also available for the duration of the residency.

Grand Arts, with a 3,000-square-foot gallery and 5,ooo-square-foot studio, provides studio residencies for the creation and exhibition of new work in sculpture. Grand Arts provides substantial financial, technical, and logistical support to emerging or established artists, and solicits proposals for projects locally, nationally, and internationally from both emerging and established artists.
