These collages impart a sense of floating and movement in dreamy pools of color.
They were created using hand made paper along with local maps, found leaves and other pieces of art.

EXHIBITION: January 10th - February 23rd

MOJITO JAZZ CLUB: 1337 Grant Ave, San Francisco
(Cross Street: Vallejo Street)

Orlonda Uffre has experimented with various media and forms: landscapes, seascapes, figurative and abstraction - but she has concentrated on acrylic on canvas for the last twenty years.

Orlonda says: "The act of painting often conjures up euphoric sensations – sometimes like a “runner’s high”, sometimes peaceful like a meditation or melodic, like old style jazz. Painting, while listening to music, feels like I’m feeding and energizing myself emotionally, spiritually and definitely visually – as if my visual receptors are on high octane.

The complexity and harmonics of painting emerges as improvisation with unique color combinations, or an exercise with the simplicity of primary colors, value contrast and line.

All these aspects are in play, whether I’m painting the human figure, a landscape or an imaginary place of sensation."

Mainstream art galleries are not the only way to sell you artwork. Actually most successful visual artists do not make most of their sales from galleries. Designed specifically for visual and spatial artists, this workshop will get you thinking outside of the gallery so you can find alternative spaces for your artwork.

As an Art Business Consultant, Ms. Zlatar advises emerging and mid-career visual artists and performers on reaching their artistic and financial goals. She coaches on time management, goal setting and marketing.
