Description |

An artist replaces a saint in this cubist style pseudo icon. The raised hand mimics a blessing as he stands before a canvas. His head is divided into light and dark planes while he holds two brushes, one burning with a light flame, the other with a dark flame as he explores both light and dark subjects in his art. His halo is a palette with the colors on it suggesting stained glass. As the artist has sacrificed himself to his art, the palm of his raised hand bears a nail's wound of his martyrdom
